An Inconvenient Truth

Apologies to Al Gore's film on climate change, for my heading. My satnav, a TomTom One, has been sent back for repair under warranty, I am very sad to say. It was not charging when plugged into any USB port, and the software keeps freezing on startup. Fortunately it can be rectified at the manufacters expense, but being without it when we are expecting house guests and need to travel to parts unknown is inconvenient since we have to reverse ourselves to alternative, older technology, called maps. Horirble things that you have to hold, and look up indexes, and get car sick whilst following. One consolation is that Rose does not have to listen to 'that man' saying 'take the roundabout ahead, second exit' for a while. On the other hand, I may again have to suffer 'I said left, not here ... I think we take this exit ... can you see any road names ... wrong lane, you are in the wrong lane ...'
