I heard from old buddy McZip today, after he sent me this great photo of his recent marriage to Nikki, which shows Cape Town's version of the Brady Bunch! Just as long as none of the kids runs around saying 'Marsha, Marsha, Marsha'!
I am so happy for them, and delighted when two people find love again after lots of pain and disappointment. So raise a toast to Mike and Nikki McNaught, and the whole gang you see there! We wish you much happiness and a quiet household every now and again.
Mike was best man at our wedding ... a long time ago in 1978 ... and although our lives took us in different directions and to different places, I have always loved the fact that when one of us does remember to make contact, we just seem to pick up from where we left off. That's the great gift of friendship.
