Richard Branson buys island for employees

Richard Branson has purchased Makepeace Island in the Noosa River in Queensland. It will become a retreat for Virgin staff (I would imagine senior level staff).

Here is a snap of it as we passed it on our river cruise on the river, yesterday. It is almost ready, but last minute tidying up remains to be done.

Seems that great care has been taken to keep the island natural and the building blended into the surrounding bush.

Worthing by the sea

Arrived at lunchtime in Worthing, via four trains. Exceptionally hot and muggy.

Had a tour of the new offices, met loads of people we haven't seen for a while, and some we had! Took a walk from where we are staying to the sea - perhaps a 15 minute stroll each way. The photo is a Great Western train pulled up at Worthing Station.

Virgin Trains were cool, with radio channels and in-seat power for laptops. Some trains apparantly have wifi hotspots in them but I haven't found one yet. We are here until Friday morning.
