Apple Store in Regent Street

For me, this is like an Aladdin's Cave, and every time I come in here I am more convinced that my next home computer will be a Mac - so that means I have to actually save for one because the one I would want to have would not be just a whimsical purchase of a (relatively) inexpensive PC from a high street chain.

In fact I am tapping this post out on a really nice macbook - whilst I give my iPhone charge on the docking station next to it.

I am purchasing one, so I do not feel too bad, and actually, I don't think the Apple fellas here would mind one little bit.

Hollywood Stars

Old man and younger wife at Planet Hollywood, Piccadilly Circus, London

Rose surprised me with a trip into London, some live theatre (The 39 Steps at The Criterion) and supper at Planet Hollywood after the show. It was a lovely, long day. We walked up and down Regent Street, spending time in the Wedgewood and Swaroskvy Crystal shops (for Rose) and Hamelys Toy Store (for me).

Nobody was speaking

I needed another round trip to London yesterday, to get a visa from the Cyprus Consulate - which is just of Park Lane, and near Marble Arch tube station. I had never seen the Marble Arch for whom the station is named, and had not realized it is very close to Speaker's Corner in Hyde Park.
I got the visa, and walked via the subway to the park. Nobody was up on their soap box in Speaker's Corner - perhaps it was a but chilly! I was determined to eat my sambos and drink my flask of hot coffee, in the park, which was a bit naff, as apart from a small group of Spanish sounding tourists who whisked in and out in 5 minutes, I was the only person sitting on a bench!
