Will AJ dominate African news?

AJI is moving ahead with its plans to launch a 'fully-fledged' international satellite channel that will specialise on news (in English) from Africa. It is interesting that AJ is attracting serious journalists who seem to want to work outside of the usual western-bias of news reporting from the traditional media giants like the BBC, CNN, SKY etc. Sir David Frost is amongst their starting lineup of internationally known and respected journalists/presenters. The Online Press Gazette has more on this. Is this Islamic cultural imperialism, or is it an honest attempt to provide the other sides of the news stories that western media can massage and tilt towards western concepts and history? Time will tell. For me, I will just be glad to have another news source, and from them all, to try and get some balance and truth.
