Google Print (Beta)

You may have heard of the (controversial) testing by Google of a new service offering the results of scanning entire University libraries. Just like a normal Google search, you type in, say, a line of something you remember, and ... presto, up come the results.

My test was with the line, "I must go down to the sea again" from the poem SEA FEVER by John Masefield. Try the search yourself! It found 8 books already scanned that have something about the poem. In the Cambridge Paperback Guide to Literature in English (1966), it's on page 254, whilst in Philosphies of Nature: The Human Dimension (1998) it appears on page 247.

Click on the book link and Google presents you with a scanned copy of the page. GOOGLE PRINT (BETA). Marvellous!

Try a few yourself ... my next one is "I galloped, Dirk galloped, we galloped all three ..." from English Lit class in 1971.
